I couldn't decide between the black & white clutch and the bright yellow statement clutch. Sometimes I want to go the simple, minimal route; other times I want to stand out. I suppose being indecisive is human nature, even when it comes to style.

Dresses are my favorite. Contrary to popular belief (since I love clothes so much), the less I have to think about when putting an outfit together, the better. So, dresses are my go-to. Pair a simple dress with some pointed toe heels and a sleek clutch, and voila! – the perfect (and easiest) ladylike outfit.

Put That On Everything

I love a good blazer, but there's something about a white blazer that makes me want to 

put it on with everything.

Even though we don't have the pleasure of experiencing the true seasons in terms of weather where I am, I'm ready for fall and so are the stores. I did a little bit of light shopping over the weekend and picked up some transitional summer-to-fall pieces that I think will mix and match well with items I currently have. I'm looking forward to putting together some new ideas.

I took an impromptu break from the blog last week as you may or may not have noticed. Between the non-stop rainy, humid, unbearably hot weather and the many new and exciting things happening all at once in my life, I had to take a breather. Did I mention the heat? It's been so disrespectful. Nevertheless I live; yet not I because it has to be the Good Lord causing me to make it through this summer. Whew!

Denim on denim is the name of the game today. I spiced it up with a dash of leopard and red which can make any ensemble interesting. Trust me.

Looking through my plans for posts this month, I'm realizing that simple, "spiced up" outfits are a part of the style evolution I'm going through. Hope you don't mind.
