Today I thought the best husband and friend in the whole wide world deserves some spotlight. Dwayne is my biggest supporter and faithfully takes my photos without any complaints... Well, hardly any complaints... In his defense, I can be a tough client sometimes ;)

I'm happy to say that after over two years of marriage we still laugh and have the best time in each other's company. Hopefully you'll get to see more of him around here, and who knows! He might even do a guest post once in a while. Trust me folks, you'll love him almost

 as much as I do... He's just that kind of guy :)

Self Assessment

I've come to the conclusion that I'm truly grateful for where I've been, content about where I am, and excited about where I'm going. Thanks for being patient with me. It's the Little Things

If I had a high class horse race to go to, this is what I'd wear - with a wide brimmed hat of course! Or even for a little window shopping in Bal Harbour with friends - I think this dress would do the trick. What about a romantic brunch date in the Gables with the husband? Oh, how that would be lovely.

Well, I did none of the above in this dress (although I would if I could). After taking these photos, husband and I spent our evening talking over a homemade dinner and enjoying a comedy-filled movie night. It's the little things...

A Multitude of Thoughts

I've been thinking a lot lately. You know, the kind of thinking that makes it hard for you to tell the difference between what's real and what's not? Between what you said and what you didn't say? Between what you did and what you thought to do? Little thoughts become big thoughts, and big thoughts become even bigger thoughts... It makes it very difficult to write a simple post when my mind gets like this. Just this morning I spent quite a bit of time wondering why the sun chose to make my skin look so golden in these photos, yet it forgot to bring out the gold in the shoes. I tried to adjust the lighting using editing tools to no avail. I had to go into my closet to make sure the shoes do in fact have gold in them because maybe I just thought they did. Well... they do. Mystery solved. Now to tackle my bigger thoughts.

ACI 2012: One Way

Happy Monday, everyone!

As promised, today I'm sharing some highlights from my week at ACI 2012! Apostolic Camp International has been a tremendous blessing in my life for the last seven years, and this being my second year serving on staff was an even bigger blessing. It was undoubtedly a week to remember! The theme was "One Way: The Decision. The Direction. The Destination."

It was supposed to rain on this day, but it didn't. It was supposed to be hot and humid too, but it wasn't. Sometimes I really don't mind that the weather man and the clouds in the sky don't have the final say.

The photo above is really the best outfit photo from this batch...

...because shortly after, our "set" was overtaken...

...by a family of ducks!! All together now, "Awwwww!"

They were very friendly (or hungry or overly fond of taking pictures, one of the three) because they followed us wherever we went. They must have believed we had something special to offer them. It's too bad we didn't, but now we know to take snacks to share the next time we go to this spot. They surely made taking photos a lot more fun.
