Straightened

Top from Marshalls (similar ASOS top) | JCPenney Skirt (similar Ann Taylor skirt) | BCBG Heels | H&M Clutch

I haven't worn straight hair in ages. I used to wrap my hair religiously and despise any trace of body or curl; but for the last several years, I've embraced the fuller look and found it easier to style when I finger roll it at night. For the weekend, though, my hair was straight, and I quite enjoyed it.

Speaking of the weekend, I had an awesome one having attended power-packed services at my assembly's Youth Empowerment Summit. (Shout out to my husband and his team for doing an outstanding job at planning it!) It was an encouragement to stay on the "straight and narrow," for there's no other way.

Be blessed!

Breaking the Rules

Zara Shirt | Made By Skirt | Zara Heels | Forever 21 Clutch

It's against the rules to wear neon and fun prints in the fall, right? Oops. I guess I'm breaking the rules. It's tough to limit myself to solid dark clothing when the days are 70 degrees and absolutely perfect. So, springtime in the fall it is... At least for now. I might go back to neutrals tomorrow. We shall see!

Colorblocked

West & Lou (formerly known as bloom) Top | Banana Republic Skirt | Zara Heels | Forever 21 Bag

A little colorblock action today. Colorblocking is one of those trends that came and went, but it never really came because it was already here, and it never really went because it never left  kind of like minimalism and monochrome. Does that still make it a "trend"? When you figure it out, let me know.
That type of trend is for me.
