Lately, I've been feeling an incredible urge to find ways to maximize my resources, particularly my time, energy, money, and of course my wardrobe. Perhaps it's a feeling that automatically comes when spring rolls around, but whatever the case, I'm feeling it.

I originally bought this maxi dress as an end-of-summer / early fall transitional piece, but let's face it – I live in South Florida. There's no need for seasonal pieces here. So, whatever I buy better work all year 'round. With a light denim jacket and fun bag, I think it does.

Now, if only time, energy, and money were that easy to maximize...

Spring Essentials from Target

What trends am I looking forward to most this spring season? Mixing neutrals and dressing up tees. In a little over a month, I'll be going on sailing the high seas on a Caribbean cruise. Imagine my relief when I realize that everything I'll need from head to toe can be found at Target, all reasonably priced too. I'm pretty sure it's going to be my one-stop-shop for all of my cruising essentials.

Over the weekend, I pulled several wardrobe staples and threw them together to make an outfit: white shirt, cargo vest, denim and animal printed accessories. I think I could recreate this exact look in 2 years (or 2 years ago, for that matter) during any season and still be relevant.

Oh, by the way... WARNING: I've been shying away from color lately, so you'll be seeing a lot of blacks, whites, greys, beiges and shades thereof this month. My love for neutrals continues. I'll do my best to throw some color in here and there so as not to bore you, but it'll be a rarity. What's not to love about neutrals anyway?

Just in Time

My new reversible tote from Sole Society (black on one side, cream on the other) came just in time for me to wear it with this outfit. It was literally waiting for me outside when I was walking out of the door, fully dressed. I used my house key to open the box, ripped off the packaging, and proceeded to switch bags right there on my doorstep.

I just love to get packages, even when they are expected - especially when the timing is perfect.
