The Blues

Shirt: Old Navy | Skirt: East 5th for JC Penney | Bag: Ross | Shoes: Ninewest

I apologize for my misleading title. There is really nothing sad about this outfit. It's easy, comfortable, and rather clever... Chambray and denim? Genius. I'm sure some cowboy back in the 1800s started the trend, but that was before the term "fashionista" was created. Such a shame. That poor cowboy was robbed of his rightful title. So, there you go. I suppose there is something sad about this outfit. But let's focus on happy thoughts, shall we?

Wish List // Birthday + Christmas

Happy Monday! I hope you all are enjoying the best month of the year so far :)

Since both my birthday and Christmas are this month, I thought it would be fitting to kick off my December posts with a little wish list. Here are a few things that have caught my eye recently...

It's Settled

Top: Forever 21 | Skirt: Mossimo for Target | Shoes: Old Navy | Crossbody: Thrifted, Ninewest via Plato's Closet

Stripes and pleats? Yes, please!

It's settled... One of my new favorite combos, like peplums and pencil skirts (here and here).

Out of the Ordinary

Top: Marshall's | Skirt: Forever 21 | Shoes & Clutch: Ninewest

I am aware that it is out of the ordinary to wear a coral shade of pink and cream in the fall, but I really like this shirt I recently picked up in Marshall's (for $12!!)... Plus, I just felt like brightening things up a bit. The weather in Florida has been nothing short of perfect, and I brag about it choose to acknowledge it by wearing whatever I want regardless of the season.

Take that, fall!

Ready

Top: Forever 21 | Skirt: Mossimo for Target | Belt: Forever 21 | Shoes: Aldo | Clutch: Aldo

I wore this outfit the Sunday before last. After fighting to get my unruly hair into a bun and debating with myself about which belt to wear, I turned to my husband with a look of uncertainty...

He smiled wide, nodded in approval, and said, "You're ready!"

Affirmation for the day? Check.
