Versatility

Shirt: Old Navy | Skirt: courtesy of Made By | Shoes: Guess | Bag: Kathy Van Zeeland via Macys

As expected during the summer, the weather here in South Florida has been mostly rainy and overcast. While taking these photos, I overcompensated for the poor lighting, and, coupled with my horrible photo editing skills, the results aren't at all great. But, due to the heat that is also to be expected during the summer, I was not about to take these photos again.

The point of this post, though, is not to draw attention to my quality-lacking photos, but rather to focus on this amazing skirt, "The Bella," from Made By! I've been on the hunt for versatile midi skirts that complement my post-pregnancy body (during my journey to get back on track) and give me enough freedom to take care of an active baby. Considering my needs, this skirt meets them all; so much so, that I also ordered it in black! It comes in eight amazing colors, so be sure to check it out in addition to all of the other cute skirts and accessories they carry. If you do decide to shop, use coupon code GAROFPRAS14 to receive 25% off your purchase!

The color I am wearing here (lime-aid) is hard to truly appreciate with the photos above, unfortunately, but if you follow me on Instagram, you might have caught that I also wore this skirt on Sunday and posted this picture, which hopefully shows the color a little bit better:

I've been giving sneak peeks of a project I am working on with Made By, and soon I will be spilling all of the details on the blog. Stay tuned!

Pinspiration // Minimalism

After spending years of incorporating bolder colors and prints into my wardrobe, I find myself extremely inspired by the minimalist trend. I just think it's such a sophisticated and chic way to dress. Aside from the "less is more" color palette, I'm attracted to how few pieces or layers it takes to pull off a great minimalist look – which is so me.

Don't get me wrong, I still love color and plan to wear a lot of it this summer. But, as I edit my wardrobe and my "grown and sexy" style evolves, I'll work on incorporating it in more mature ways.

Check out my "Minimalism" board on Pinterest to find more trending looks and clothes that inspire me.

Neutral

T-Shirt: Forever 21 | Jacket: Banana Republic | Skirt: Banana Republic | Shoes: Zara | Clutch: Bijuju Boutique

Last night, I had a much needed night out with the girls. It's been a hectic week already, spilling over from last week's insanity (but good insanity), and it's only Wednesday. Sometimes, with all of the non-stop demands of everyday life and the never-ending to-do lists, it's necessary to take your foot off of the accelerator and stay in neutral for a while.

Speaking of neutral, I'm falling in love with blacks, whites, greys and navys again. (As if we ever broke up.) I'll admit, I wander off to "brighter side" every now and then – and I enjoy it, but I always find a way to slip back into my comfort zone. It's just easier here.

Something Sweet

Shirt: Forever 21 | Skirt: ASOS (try it in blue) | Shoes: Vintage by Jeffrey Campbell via Nordstrom Rack (similar) | Clutch: Love,Cortnie

I'm not normally a "sweets" person. When I do happen to have a sweet tooth, I crave pies, cheesecake and pastries more so than cupcakes and candies.

I suppose I'm also that way with getting dressed. On the regular, I tend to stick to the basics in unsurprising color palettes, so bright pops of color are always a nice sweet treat.

Comfort Clothes

Dress: Ross | Shoes: French Connection | Clutch Forever 21

You've heard of the term "comfort food," yes? Well, I'm coining the term "comfort clothes." My favorite thing to wear is an easy-breezy dress in a comfy material that doesn't require layering or fussy accessories. I guess you can also call it "worry-free dressing." Whatever you want to call it, it's my favorite.
